FAQ

Q: HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO HIRE AN ATTORNEY?
A: Cost depends on the type of matter and the specific circumstances. For example, an “uncontested divorce” (meaning, both parties on agree on all matters and you only require an attorney to prepare an Agreement and the various divorce documents), is charged on a flat-fee basis. On the other hand, a “contested divorce”, depending on the specific circumstances, will likely require an up-front retainer and then an hourly rate will apply.
Q: WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING WHEN I COME IN FOR A CONSULTATION?
A: If you have been served with any papers, you will need to bring those. Other than that, you will need to bring anything that will help you explain all the facts of your particular situation, whatever that may be.
Q: HOW MANY YEARS HAVE YOU BEEN PRACTICING LAW?
A: Andrea has been practicing law since 2012.
Q: I WORK 9AM THROUGH 5PM. DO YOU HAVE AFTER HOURS OR WEEKEND APPOINTMENTS AVAILABLE?
A: We do the best we can to accommodate after hours and weekend appointments. Give us a call; we will make time for you.
Q: HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR MY DIVORCE TO BE FINALIZED?
A: Again, this depends on the complexity of the matter and your specific circumstances. Some can be as quick as just a few weeks, and others take much longer. A more definitive answer can be given after your one-hour free consultation.
Q: ARE THERE ANY OTHER ATTORNEYS THAT WORK IN YOUR OFFICE?
A: Other than Andrea, her father, Frank, works in the same office. They are “of counsel” to each other. In addition, they share a paralegal, Carmela, who works here full time.
